The structure of the inter cooler is fins and tubes of most centrifugal air compressor models, for example the IHI, Elliott, Cooper Cameron, Samsung, etc. The fins stacked and expanded tightly on the tubes to have the full contact, so that the heat of the hot air could be transferred by the cooling water in the tubes.
The cooler’s principle is the heat exchanger, which is the product could have two fluids exchange their heat, one fluid would get cooled while another one would get heated, so basically there are cooler and heater in heat exchanger, considering the phase change of the fluid, there’s evaporator in heater and condenser in cooler. We only talk about the cooler here as we want it to cool the stuff.
The inter cooler seal kit are used for the assembly, first the seals are needed to prevent the leak of the water when it comes into the tubes, on the other hand the air or oil needs to be kept in the housing by the seals. The cooler assembly would need a couple of seals in different types which called inter cooler seal kit.
